Another month has come and blown away like a gust of wind – where has all the time gone, seriously?
Ever since I decided to start a daily journal, I have begun to focus on all the good, positive things in my day-to-day. I honestly believe this is a really good practice for anyone who is under a lot of stress, or lack inspiration. Journaling has helped me keep focus on what’s important in life and even on a bad day, it has helped me find a silver lining.
Granted, I don’t journal every single day, but I’ve done if for over 90% of the month and it is life-changing. Not in a mind-blowing way, but rather, in a way that gives me a sense of peace and comfort.
This is why I decided to spare some space on this blog to show you a record of my month’s journaling, after the end of each. I know many people in the Traveler’s Notebooks community love to see what others are up to (I love peeking into people’s journals myself) so I’m going to share scans of mine here after each month.
Also, journaling has given me a reason (haha!) to purchase really cute items to furnish my notebook with and loads of new stamps! That alongside my newly-growing collection of washi tapes. I honestly can;t stop buying stationery – it’s a very dangerously addictive rabbit hole to fall into, but one that I really love.
So much fun! Anyways, here’s what happened in July.
I was previously using a lotus charm, as seen here, but had to take it off because it left odd dents on my cover. I swapped it out for this lovely black tassel instead.
This is one of my favourite places to get fresh, large oysters. They have the most amazing selections.
I usually create weekly shopping lists on colored post-its which also serves as my chance to practice brush calligraphy – these are some of them.
I went on a full-out #traveljournal mode over this weekend and painted in my Australian trip. These are some of the colour samples from all the delicious food places in Melbourne that I tried. That trip is nearly done, and will be up soon. In the meantime, have you seen my Osaka travel journal?
Earl Grey tea from London, a gift from my bestie. This entire page smells heavenly.
I’ve created a video as well that shows me flipping through each page:
That’s it for July. Tell me, what goes into your own daily journal? I would love it for you to share links to your photos, blog or Instagram account.
