Who doesn’t love ice-cream, right?
Hailing all the way from South Korea & Taiwan, Honey Creme is a premium soft ice-cream brand that is sure to wow dessert connoisseurs in Malaysia. (I tried it, I should know!)
Their new outlet opens in Desa Sri Hartamas, my favourite food haunt in the Klang Valley! The opening day was packed with foodies, excited to try the new scoop in town, myself included. The outlet is donned in yellow and black, the signature colour of the brand and the honey bee, and decked out with colourful Christmas décor too. How inviting. 🙂
Honey Creme’s three signature flavours are the classic Original, Honey Comb and Comb Honey. Original consists of their fresh milk and whipped cream combo to give you a soft and creamy serve of ice cream for those who like it plain. However, they are popular for their natural (and healthy) honey, so their Honey Comb is the most popular choice – it is served like the Original, but with a real comb of honey! You can chew on the honey comb as you have your ice-cream, omitting the need for artificial flavours or sweeteners. Who knew ice-cream can be healthy?
The last signature flavour is the Comb Honey, which I tried. Instead of chewing on a full honey comb, they extract the honey from the combs to be drizzled all over your fresh milk ice-cream. It is delightful, and not overly sweet which I really like. The milky creaminess from the ice-cream really makes a difference here!
Of course, it is not all just milk and honey here. For those who want a little edge, Honey Creme also has a wide range of other fun flavours, from the Organic Cotton Candy ice-cream (studded with pink Italian rock salt at the top), to having dark chocolate or grains drizzled over it, the PopCorn which is topped with caramel popcorn from the US, and even an Affogato version – an Italian version of coffee and ice-cream. So really, there’s something for everyone.
I find the PopCorn version really cute! It’s literally hand-crafted by the ice-cream professionals behind the counter – as you can see below how they painstakingly stick the popcorn into the cone version so carefully.
I personally prefer the signature honey varieties because they are so fresh and creamy. I’m actually very much the plain jane when it comes to ice-cream. 🙂 Honey Creme can be found in Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Indonesia and now, Malaysia too! Come on over and taste it for yourself.
