A Modern Redux: The New Atlas Collection

When I was a younger girl, I became a fan of Tiffany & Co from watching the movie Breakfast At Tiffany’s starring Audrey Hepburn. At first it was mainly because of the glamorous Audrey, but as I grew older, I start to understand the legacy that the brand carries, and why it’s so coveted all over the world. It was something unexplainable that stayed on with me over the years – and the dream of owning pieces from a Tiffany & Co store, is already a dream come true. 🙂

However, the thing about Tiffany & Co is that they are always innovating, keeping up to date with the now, while still remaining its classic touch. I was so excited to see the new Atlas collection. To me, the Atlas collection is the epitome of olden day class – with it’s Roman numerals, arranged into a beautiful and yet simple design. It just screams elegance without actually being too over the top. The pieces are very much inspired by the Atlas clock that presides over Tiffany’s Fifth Avenue store, located at the crossroads of energy and evolution in the heart of New York City.

The main symbolism of these new pieces are Strength and Freedom. These are the beautiful cuffs, it’s wearable on its own without anything else. It is much bolder and even more simplified compared to the previous version. The sterling silver looks very modern and wearable. If anything, this piece on its own represents the dynamic of a modern, fashion forward woman of this decade. I absolutely love it!

These are the bangles, which are perfect for stacking! The overlap of silver and gold would actually create very interesting shapes and movement – because of the simple tapered lines and perfect spacing between the numerals. It has a lightness that exudes boldness, it is the ultimate statement piece. Crafted in the finest 18 karat yellow, white or rose gold; as well as sterling silver (which is what Tiffany is famous for) these pieces have a stunning finishing. This is definitely on my wishlist!

The words that come to mind when I see the pieces in this collection. Tiffany & Co is already quite a legacy in their own right, and with such beautiful creations coming out time-after-time, I can’t wait to see what else they have up their sleeves! 🙂
